Troop 25 - Who Are We?
Troop 25 is Boy Scout Troop located in Orange Park, Florida. We are sponsored by the Orange Park Rotary and meet at the Orange Park Methodist Church and meet on Mondays, from 7:00pm to 8:30pm, in Fellowship Hall located on Reed Street.
We are an active year-round boy-led troop, and we work to help the Scouts achieve the ideals of scouting through the Scout Oath, Scout Law, outdoor adventures, rank advancement, peer-to-peer teaching, association with adults, personal growth, and leadership development.
Our Troop serves boys ages 11-17.
For boys in grades K-5, our Cub Scout Pack (Pack 25) meets at the church in the Family Life Center on Monday nights at 6:30 PM.

Troop 25 History
Troop 25 was chartered in December 1982 and remains one of the largest and most active Troops in the area. In our history, over 145 of our Scouts have achieved the highest rank in Boy Scouts, the Eagle Scout rank!
Scouting is More Than Just Meetings!
Our Troop camps one weekend every month, except during the summer months. We also attend Boy Scout Summer Camp every year usually in the North Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee or Virginia mountains.
In addition to regular Scout summer camp, many of our older Scouts also attend a High Adventure summer camp selected by the Scouts.
Joining Troop 25 allows you to join us on our monthly campout adventures such as going to the USS Alabama or canoeing down the Suwanee River or exploring some of Florida's caverns and caves or visiting natural beauties such as Providence Canyon in western Georgia or Cumberland Island just off the Georgia coast. We also go biking and swimming in natural springs at State Parks in Florida and Georgia and take backpacking trips on the Florida Trail. Each month is a new adventure and our Scouts plan all camping locations and activities at their annual planning meeting.
You are also welcome to join us as we attend Summer Camp! At summer camp, Scouts test their skills by rock climbing, ziplining, rappelling, whitewater rafting, boating, fishing, kayaking, swimming, hiking, and doing many other activities that the camp offers, including a very long list of merit badge options!
Is summer adventure more your speed? Each year, our Scouts select a High Adventure summer camp as well. High Adventure camps are for Scouts ages 14 and older. Our High Adventure camps have included Northern Tier, Bechtel Summit, Florida Sea Base, and Philmont, too!
We also participate in community service projects throughout the year!
Troop 25 Leadership
Our Scouts make up several patrols and use the patrol method during their activities and planning.
While Troop 25 is completely boy-led, we also have many active parents and adult leaders that work to cultivate courage, loyalty, patriotism, brotherliness, self-control, courtesy, kindness, usefulness, cheerfulness, cleanliness, thrift, purity and honor in all Scouts. These are the values that the Boy Scouts of America and Troop 25 add to any boy's natural gifts to be a good citizen and successful leader in life.
Many of our adult leaders are also Merit Badge Counselors and are available to work with Scouts from all over the area for boys wanting to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, Scouting's highest honor.
Visitors Welcome!

We do not meet on school holidays and one meeting a month is when only our Scout leadership and adult Committee meet, so we encourage you to contact us to ensure it's a regular meeting night!
We'd love to have you visit us!
